    • This is the official education site of the Global Hematology and Oncology Pediatric Excellence (HOPE) program at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. This site provides courses for health care professionals caring for children with cancer and hematologic disorders across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The purpose of this online didactic course is to provide insight into work-related stress and the impact it can have on those who care for children with life-threatening illnesses.

This hematology course is designed for healthcare providers working in Global HOPE clinics in sub-Saharan Africa. It is developed to teach the basic principles of healthcare for a child with hematology disorders and their family. 

Global HOPE’s sickle cell disease (SCD) training program for primary care providers aims to improve the clinical care of children diagnosed with SCD by teaching local health care providers how to manage the disease. It is designed for clinicians who provide the initial care for children with an undiagnosed health concern or continuing care for those already diagnosed with SCD. 


O Programa de Formação sobre a Doença Falciforme (DF) da Global HOPE para profissionais de cuidados de saúde primários tem por objectivo melhorar os cuidados clínicos de crianças diagnosticadas com DF, ensinando aos profissionais de cuidados de saúde locais como gerir esta doença. O programa foi concebido para clínicos que providenciam os cuidados iniciais a crianças com um problema de saúde não diagnosticado, ou cuidados continuados para os que já foram diagnosticados com DF.
